Privacy Policy

This is a starting template — review it with a professional before relying on it for a public launch.

What we collect

When you take a test we store your answers: written essays, your typed responses, and — for the Speaking module — audio recordings of your voice and their transcripts. If you create an account we store your email address and name. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email, and profile image. We also keep usage records (which tests you took, your scores, and timing) to show your progress.

How your data is used

Your answers and recordings are sent to third-party AI providers (such as OpenRouter, Google Gemini, and Groq) solely to transcribe and score them and to generate feedback. We do not sell your personal data. Scores are estimates for practice and are not affiliated with or endorsed by the official IELTS test owners.

Guest tests

You can take a test without an account. We store it against an anonymous identifier in a cookie. If you later sign up, that test is attached to your account. Un-claimed guest data may be deleted automatically after a period of inactivity.

Retention and deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data — including voice recordings — at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
